Overview
The Dam Veterinary Centre are looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their small animal practice in Selby, North Yorkshire, on a 12-month Maternity Cover, starting in December.
Role details
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, over 4 days, including a 1 in 3 weekend rota working a Saturday morning between 8.30am and 12:30pm, with an early finish the following week to compensate. This role requires no out-of-hours.
Salary
Salary is up to £74,100, dependent on experience, plus benefits.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality small animal veterinary care and contribute to a busy, varied caseload. The successful Veterinary Surgeon will have access to support from our internal referral programme with backing in soft tissue, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging and medicine. You will also be involved in the development of clinical and non-clinical skills, including self-leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience and business.
About Us
We are a small animal practice in Selby. Our practice is easily accessible, and we offer disabled access and on-site parking. Our friendly and experienced veterinary team provide the highest quality of veterinary care, surgery and treatment – along with regular check-ups and routine procedures. We offer grooming services in our on-site dog-grooming parlour, and we currently have 3 Vets undertaking post-graduate certificates with access to modern equipment including a Mindray Vetus 50 ultrasound machine, dental x-ray, electrocautery and tonometer. We are in Selby, North Yorkshire, with excellent transport links to York, Wakefield and Leeds.
