CNC MACHINIST SHEFFIELD UP TO £35,727 DOE (INCLUDING SHIFT ALLOWANCE) SHIFT PATTERN: Days: Monday to Thursday, 06:00 – 15:15 Occasionally you will be required to work the afternoon shift depending on business needs Afters: Monday to Thursday, 15:00 – 00:30 Progress Rail is looking to recruit a CNC Machinist to operate CNC Milling Machines and produce machined components to the production plan, in a safe and efficient manner, within the planned production time and to the required quality. THE ROLE: As a CNC Machinist you will be required to: * Operate CNC milling machines. * Accurately follow route card instructions SOP and reading of engineering drawings. * Use of Dial test indicator (DTI) clock for probing and setting up the job. * Identify and load the correct NC program and tooling for the parts to be machined. * Use of overhead cranes will be required. Crane training would be an advantage, but training will be provided. * Inspect products either on completion of machining or as a pre-machining or in process check as specified in the manufacturing instruction.
