Non-Case-Holding SEND Advanced Practitioner - Barnsley.
Pay Rate: £37.00 per hour.
Location: Barnsley, Yorkshire.
Working Pattern: 6 month initial period.
Barnsley Children’s Services are seeking an advanced social work practitioner with a strong child with disabilities and safeguarding background. Experience of supervising others is desirable. This will be a non-case holding role, whereby you will support the Designated Social Care Officer with rolling out training, co-productions with parents/carers, children & young people, the development of Social Care/SEND services and the new Barnsley short breaks team. This role is initially for a 6-month period.
Supporting the DSCO:
1. Many roles involve assisting the DSCO in various aspects of their work, such as training, service development, and co-production.
Training and Development:
2. They may be involved in developing and delivering training for staff and other professionals on SEND issues.
Service Development:
3. Contributing to the planning and implementation of new or improved services for children and young people with SEND.
Co-production:
4. Working with families, children, and young people to ensure services are tailored to their specific needs.
Expertise and Guidance:
5. Providing specialist knowledge and guidance to other social workers and staff on SEND matters.
Policy and Practice:
6. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and promoting best practices in SEND.
