~ 40 Hours/week, Salaried, Monday - Friday, Day shift ~
Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) is required.
Position Summary
The Substance Use Treatment Clinical Manager works as part of a team of care providers, providing supervision to staff involved in delivering substance use treatment. The Clinical Manager maintains primary accountability for managing and delivering safe and effective patient care and overseeing the day-to-day functions of the program while actively participating in direct client care.
The Clinical Manager shares team leadership and is responsible for coordinating services, managing team members, client outcomes, workload delegation, and team building.
You will work closely with management to ensure quality and compliance of clinical documentation. You are responsible for program sustainability through effective service utilization and caseload management, contributing to the achievement of financial goals.
Direct clinical duties include:
* Individual intake and psychosocial assessment
* Clinical triage
* Group facilitation within an intensive outpatient program setting
* Care coordination for medication-assisted treatment services
* Documenting evaluations and progress in medical records
* Providing individual, couples, and family counseling as needed
* Maintaining contact with community resources for aftercare and discharge planning
All services will be provided in a manner and language appropriate to clients' ages and comprehension levels. All clinicians are expected to actively participate as team members.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Master's degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling from an accredited institution; ability to teach basic social work/clinical counseling principles.
2. Maine State licensure as an LCSW or LCPC is required. Maine State licensure as a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) is strongly preferred. Licenses as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) are also advantageous. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if applicable.
3. At least 2 years of related experience in substance abuse, health, or mental health settings; experience with clinical methods in individual, family, and group therapy related to substance use or co-occurring disorders is required.
4. Knowledge of social work and counseling theories, therapies, techniques, and principles of social welfare.
