Overview
An international bank with a strong presence in the UK is seeking a Head of Security Architecture to lead the strategic development of its security architecture capability. The organisation is undertaking a significant programme of transformation, modernisation, and regulatory change, offering a dynamic and high-impact environment for a proven security leader to make a lasting contribution to the bank’s security posture. The Head of Security Architecture will define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the function. Reporting to the Head of Information Security, this senior role will lead a small team of Security Solution Architects and work closely with engineering, architecture, and risk stakeholders to ensure security is integrated across the bank’s technology landscape. The position carries significant visibility, influencing senior decision-makers and shaping secure design standards across the enterprise.
Salary £140-160k base + benefits which include an excellent pension. Hybrid working (2 days per week in the City of London office).
Responsibilities
* Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the security architecture function.
* Lead a small team of Security Solution Architects and collaborate with engineering, architecture, and risk stakeholders to integrate security across the technology landscape.
* Influence senior decision-makers and shape secure design standards across the enterprise.
Qualifications
* Experienced security architecture leader with a strong technical foundation and a track record of delivering results in the financial services sector.
* Deep knowledge of information security frameworks, DevSecOps practices, and architectural governance.
* Ability to communicate and influence effectively at executive level.
* Professional certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, or TOGAF are highly desirable.
