The children enjoy gaming, outdoor adventures, and have a real passion for music. We’re looking for someone who can bring energy, creativity, compassion, consistency, and stability to the role.
Salary: £33,780 - £35,481 a year (DOE + sleep-ins + qualifications)

About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll become a therapeutic parent to the young people in our care. You’ll help them navigate daily routines, build emotional resilience, and enjoy the activities they love. Whether it’s joining them for a walk, supporting their gaming sessions, or simply being a consistent, calming presence, you’ll play a vital role in helping them thrive.
Responsibilities
* Take the lead on shifts and support the care team.
* Be a steady, caring presence for the children.
* Help with daily routines — meals, school runs, downtime, and activities.
* Use trauma-informed care to build trust and connection.
* Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
* Keep the house running smoothly and safely — including paperwork and compliance.
* Work closely with the Deputy/Registered Manager to build leadership skills.
About you / Requirements
Ideally, we are looking for people who can be a calm, steady and above all consistent presence in the young people’s lives. You will need to show your resilience and compassion in everything you do. This is a role that requires someone who understands this is more than a job — it’s about creating a secure environment for young people to thrive.
* Experience working with children or young people in residential care.
* A commitment to trauma-informed, child-centred care.
* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
* Full UK driving licence and age 21+ (Essential)
* Willingness to work 11-day shifts (8am–11pm) per month, and 7–10 sleep-ins.
