Grade A Recruitment are seeking a passionate and creative Art & Design Technology Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the Peterborough area. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and challenge students through innovative and engaging lessons, nurturing their creativity and practical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across Art and Design Technology in line with the national curriculum.
2. Inspire students to explore creative ideas and develop technical skills through hands-on learning and experimentation.
3. Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing feedback to support development and achievement.
4. Maintain an organised and safe learning environment, ensuring the effective use of materials and resources.
5. Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and whole-school initiatives.
Requirements:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant degree in Art, Design Technology, or a related subject.
7. Proven experience teaching Art and/or DT at secondary level (KS3–KS4).
8. Strong classroom management and communication skills.
9. A passion for creativity and a commitment to fostering student engagement and achievement.
10. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
