Job Title: Assistant Drainage Engineer
Salary: £25,000-£35,000

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Drainage Engineer to join our clients growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in drainage engineering. The successful candidate will support senior engineers in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing drainage systems across residential and commercial sites.
This is a hands‑on role that requires a willingness to learn, good work ethic, and a strong commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with unblocking sinks, toilets, and external drainage systems
* Supporting high-pressure water jetting and drain cleaning operations
* Helping carry out CCTV drain surveys and basic fault identification
* Assisting with minor drain repairs and excavation works
* Learning to identify and resolve drainage issues efficiently
* Providing good customer service while on‑site
* Completing basic job reports and assisting with documentation
* Following all health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
* Interest in drainage engineering or construction/utilities work
* Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
* Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience in construction, plumbing, or labouring
* Basic knowledge of drainage systems or tools
* Any relevant training or certifications (not essential)
* Experience working in a hands‑on/manual role
