Location: Lower Brighouse Wastewater Treatment Works, Mirfield, West Yorkshire
Work Type: Permanent | Full-time (40 hours per week, rotational shifts)
About the Role
As a Proactive Desilt Technician, you’ll operate a Muller Canal Master recycler to carry out proactive desilting across Yorkshire, reducing pollution events and improving network performance. You’ll work alongside the Proactive Desilt Assistant and collaborate with internal teams and contractors to resolve operational issues.

Where you fit in:
As our Proactive Desilt Technician you will
10. Operate recycler vehicles safely and efficiently.
11. Respond to sewer blockages and deliver excellent customer service.
12. Collect and report evidence (photos, plans) for remedial works.
13. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards.
14. Work in confined spaces (medical clearance required)
What skills & qualifications you will need:
15. Full UK driving licence (max 6 points)
16. HGV Category C licence + DCPC
17. Experience driving liquid-load vehicles.
18. Recycler vehicle operation experience
19. Strong Health & Safety knowledge
20. Problem-solving and fault diagnosis skills
21. IT competency and good communication skills
22. Understanding of sewer networks and performance issues
23. Previous wastewater industry experience (desirable)
