Food Technology Teacher – Secondary School (Maidstone)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in the Maidstone area from September 2026 on a permanent basis.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with the potential for KS5, depending on experience). The successful candidate will inspire students to develop practical cooking skills, an understanding of nutrition, and a passion for food and healthy living.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver creative and engaging Food Technology lessons
* Assess, monitor, and support student progress in line with curriculum expectations
* Maintain a safe and organised practical classroom environment
* Support students of varying abilities, including those with additional needs
* Contribute to the wider Design & Technology department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
* A commitment to inclusive and high-quality teaching
