We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department in various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating HR processes, ensuring compliance, and enhancing employee engagement. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The successful applicant will report to the HR Manager and work alongside the current HR Assistant.
Work time is 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 - breaktimes etc. will be discussed at interview.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide HR administrative support to a well-established Domiciliary Care Provider.
* Assist the HR Manager and Area Service Managers with day-to-day tasks, including preparing letters and managing communication with care staff.
* Assist with recruitment administration, processing applications, monitoring equal opportunities, setting up interviews, requesting references, and collating necessary paperwork for new staff.
* Update training records, HR correspondence, and employee data in line with GDPR legislation.
* Conduct internal audits, issue new start documentation, and update sickness/absence details on the IT system.
* Carry out annual leave audits and keep relevant managers informed.
* Ensure staff have Enhanced AccessNI certificates and NISCC applications are completed.
* Coordinate induction training with the training facilitator.
* Maintain the LMS (Learning Management System) and other IT systems.
* Work flexibly, including outside normal office hours if required.
* Perform other duties as needed to support service delivery.
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
* Be willing to work across other NWCare branches as needed.
* Adhere to GDPR legislation.
Skills
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.

* Proficiency in IT and telephone systems.
* Accurate keyboard skills and data entry capabilities.
* Good command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
* Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures.
* ECDL certification.
* GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
* Diary management experience.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications.
* At least 18 months of experience in a busy office environment.
* Experience with Power BI, data input, and IT systems.
* RSA III typing and word processing skills.
* Certificate in IT User Skills or equivalent.
