Job Title: Engineering Technician – Electronics & Electro-Mechanical Systems
Location: Sealand, Deeside – Full-Time, Onsite (5 days per week)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team, performing repair, maintenance, and manufacturing of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. This role covers systems such as avionics, maritime, communications, navigation, weapons, and cable/test box manufacture. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively to ensure equipment meets quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform testing, diagnostics, repair, maintenance, modification, calibration, and manufacture of equipment down to module or component level.
Certify equipment status (e.g., serviceable, unserviceable, scrap) as per approved engineering documentation.
Supervise, train, and support junior staff and apprentices in technical activities.
Conduct feasibility and development work, including reverse engineering and creation of engineering documentation and test procedures.
Use engineering software and tools to support equipment maintenance and reporting.
Provide specialist technical advice as required and work within established engineering governance and compliance frameworks.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Level 4 qualification with advanced/higher apprenticeship, or Level 3 qualification with a nationally recognised electrical/electronic engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent military/industry experience).
Practical experience in one or more of the following areas: avionics, maritime, communications, navigation, weapons systems, or cable/test box manufacture.
Strong understanding of engineering standards, procedures, and safety requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
