The Countess of Chester Hospital has a vacancy for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Pharmacy Technician for a Homecare and Finance role. We are a friendly, forward thinking and a dynamic department. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who has the necessary skills and experience to be able to support on the delivery of a high-quality service and facilitate the provision of homecare medicines.
You will need to have excellent communication and team-working skills as this role will involve collaborating with colleagues across the organisation and with external providers to support our homecare and financial services. It is desirable that you have previous experience in delivering homecare medicines services and an understanding of NHS finance and High Cost Drugs.
To assist in the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Trust homecare medicines management services. Responsible for the general technical duties associated with homecare medicines supplies.
To assist in the provision of financial services relating to medicines use for the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Responsible for the monitoring and analysing of financial data provided to internal and external sources.
To support the Medicines Management Team in implementing approved policies and procedures relating to the use of medicines.
To perform a variety of pharmaceutical technical duties relating to the preparation, dispensing and supply of medicines.
To co-operate with all pharmacy staff in providing and developing an efficient and comprehensive pharmaceutical service under the direction of senior pharmacy management.
Locations
* The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 473 general and acute beds.
* Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility.
* Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust employs 5,964 staff (headcount) to provide care and treatment to a population of over 400,000 people living in Chester and West Cheshire which includes Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the Deeside area of Flintshire.
