Corporate Communications Manager - Fixed Term Contract

At IHG Hotels & Resorts, we’re on a mission to shape the future of hospitality and we’re looking for a talented communicator who can help us tell that story.

As a Corporate Communications Manager for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract opportunity, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling the growth of IHG in Europe by enhancing and protecting our reputation across external audiences including media and the wider hospitality industry.

This is a role for a natural storyteller and strategic thinker, someone who thrives on turning business priorities into compelling external communication campaigns that connect, inspire, and deliver results.


Responsibilities

* Partner with Business Unit and Market Leadership to bring key European growth priorities to life through an external narrative
* Seek out and oversee external speaking opportunities for key spokespeople and manage event briefs at leading external industry events, working closely with Development and Development Communications & Events teams
* Build awareness of IHG’s initiatives across key media markets including managing senior spokespeople briefings — from the UK & Ireland and Germany to France, Spain and beyond.
* Manage external communications plans and international PR agency relationships to ensure best‑in‑class delivery.
* Shape thought leadership platforms for Europe’s senior leaders through strategic storytelling and LinkedIn content programmes.
* Play an active role in crisis communications management as part of a trusted regional team.
* Collaborate with EMEAA and Global Corporate Affairs colleagues to deliver aligned and impactful communications that lead to our regional strategy.


Qualifications

* 5+ years of communications experience, focusing on external disciplines.
* Proven success in a complex, matrixed corporate environment, ideally with B2B or hospitality experience.
* Strong media relations and crisis‑handling skills.
* Exceptional written communication and storytelling ability in English (additional European languages a plus).
* Confidence and judgment to advise senior stakeholders and influence at every level.
* Experience leading agencies, managing budgets, and running end‑to‑end external communication campaigns.
* A collaborative mindset, someone who brings people together, aligns messages, and builds engagement through clear, authentic communication.
