Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen and we are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to food safety. As the Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring that high standards of food preparation and presentation are maintained. Responsibilities

* Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including supervising kitchen staff and coordinating food preparation.
* Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
* Participate in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative cooking techniques.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques.
* Previous supervisory experience, demonstrating effective team management abilities.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
* Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
