This position is responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and changeover of injection molds.
Duties
* Perform mold changes and ensure mold tools are ready to meet production schedules.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on mold tools.
* Recommend changes and enhancements to procedures and equipment to result in more efficient operations.
* Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
* May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills
* Basic math skills, including knowledge of shop/mechanical mathematics.
* Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and 3D models.
* Ability to comprehend and retain technical verbal and written instructions.
* Understanding and experience with mold tool construction and maintenance.
Education And Qualifications
* Must have a high school diploma or GED, associate degree preferred.
* Prior Injection mold tool maintenance and assembly experience preferred.
* Physical Demands:
o Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
o Ability to occasionally move objects weighing in excess of 100 lbs.
o Ability to stand and walk on a regular basis and occasionally climb, stoops, kneels, or crouch.
o Ability to view fine detail, color variation, and depth perception for extended periods.
