About the role Reporting to the Head of Leadership & Talent Development, you’ll play a pivotal role in building an inclusive, energised performance culture across BHF. You’ll lead the design, governance, and delivery of frameworks and processes that support performance development, skills enablement, succession planning, and strategic workforce planning. This role is central to ensuring our people have the tools, clarity, and support to turn their ambitions into impact—and their careers into something truly fulfilling. Key responsibilities include: Performance development (My Performance Matters) Lead the end-to-end delivery of inclusive performance frameworks and processes. Partner with People Technology to align Workday solutions with strategic goals. Manage stakeholder relationships and address business need across directorates. Use data and insight to inform decisions and measure impact. Skills framework Own the governance and continuous improvement of the BHF skills framework. Embed the framework across key people processes including recruitment, career development, and succession planning. Partner with L&D, Internal Comms, and People Business Partners to drive adoption and confidence. Talent processes Lead inclusive succession planning and strategic workforce planning. Use internal and external data to model workforce scenarios and identify capability gaps. Deliver clear reporting and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Contribute to wider talent initiatives and deputise for the Head of Leadership & Talent Development when needed. About you We’re looking for someone who brings: Strong knowledge of performance development, skills enablement, and talent planning. Experience managing complex projects in a People or HR function. Confidence working with senior stakeholders in a multi-site, multi-function organisation. Familiarity with Workday systems and applications (desirable). A strategic mindset with the ability to translate insight into action. You’ll be a natural collaborator, a critical thinker, and a champion of inclusive talent practices. Your ability to connect data, people, and purpose will help shape a workforce that’s ready for the future. Working arrangements This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and our London office. At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average.
