An established independent wealth management firm in the Southampton area is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join its growing technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong paraplanner who enjoys working on complex client cases and partnering closely with financial advisers to deliver high-quality financial planning advice.
The role will involve supporting advisers across pensions, investments, protection, offshore bonds and estate planning, with responsibility for managing cases from initial fact-find through to recommendation and report writing.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
* Preparing high-quality suitability reports and financial planning documentation
* Undertaking technical research and identifying suitable client solutions
* Supporting advisers with complex pensions and investment cases
* Reviewing client objectives, risk profiles and asset allocations
* Liaising with providers and, where appropriate, legal and tax professionals
* Assisting in the development of technical processes and mentoring junior team members
* Ensuring all work meets FCA and compliance requirements
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* At least 5 years’ experience working as a paraplanner within a financial planning or wealth management firm
* Strong pensions and investments knowledge
* Experience working on complex technical cases
* Excellent suitability report writing skills
* Experience using research and cashflow modelling tools
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* A collaborative and proactive approach
Qualifications
* Ideally working towards Chartered / Level 6 status
