We are working with a top-tier Scottish law firm who are seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor to join their Commercial Litigation team within their Edinburgh or Glasgow office.
The Role
The successful candidate will join a top-ranked Dispute Resolution practice, providing both legal and practical advice to high-profile Scottish and international clients on wide variety of contentious legal issues. The candidate will work on general commercial litigation matters, including managing complex disputes, advising clients on contentious matters, and handling court proceedings. The candidate’s work will encompass matters such as corporate crime, class actions, and cyber attacks and data breaches.
The candidate will play a key supporting role within the team, facilitating the growth and development of junior members in connection with the preparation for, and conduct of, hearings in both the Court of Session and the Sheriff Courts.
Essential Criteria
* 4+ PQE;
* Strong background in commercial disputes in a medium to large commercial firm;
* Excellent commercial awareness;
* Outstanding academics;
* Technically excellent;
* Negotiation skills;
* Willingness to become involved in business development;
* Ability to work independently and as a team.
