wholesalers, distributors, restaurants etc.
Youwillbringyourpassion andexpertisetomaketheKentofficeathrivingsuccessful extension oftheEuropeanoperation.
WhatistheBranchManagerrole :
TheBranchManagerwillberesponsibleformanagingthelocalteam(currently5people),
coordinatingdailyoperationalactivities anddevelopingthebusinessinalignmentwiththe companys growthstrategy.
Youll enjoy meeting customers each week, cementing and growing these relationships, youll be the key contact for partners in the UK and Italy, and be the go to contact for all business enquiries.
Unlikesomeshiftpatternsinthelogisticssector,youwonthavetoworkaSaturday, however, youwillwork5daysaweekbetweenSundayandFriday.
KeyResponsibilitiesoftheBranchManager
Overseeandcoordinateallbranchoperations,includingtransport,customs, warehousing,andlocal
distribution.
Manage,guide,andmotivatetheUKoperationalteam.
Supervisecustomsclearanceactivitiesincooperationwithourcustomsagentand ensure compliancewithUKandEUregulations.
Managecommunicationwithhauliers,UKcustomsoperators,andlocaldistributors.
Handleandresolveanyincidentsorvehicledelaysatcustoms,ensuringtimely coordination withtheItalianheadquartersandlocalpartners.
Supportsuppliersincaseofdocumentationissuesordiscrepanciesrelatedtogoods under customscontrol.
MaintainstrongrelationshipswithItalianHQ,UKpartners,andlocaldistributors.
Identifyopportunitiestoexpandthecompanysservicesandstrengthentheclient portfolio intheUK.
Ensureoperationalefficiency,servicequality,andcostcontrol.
Managereporting,KPIs,andadministration
Thisisanimportanddistributionbusinesssoitmakessensethatyouhaveexperienceinthis areaandenjoyallthatthelogisticssectorhastooffer. Basedinasmartoffice,withgreatcoffee Iknowitsathing!AND, partofyourinduction astheBranchManagerislikelytoincludeavisittotheheadofficeinItalytomeettheteam andunderstandthesystems- youwillreceiveaverywarmwelcome.
Requirements
Provenexperienceintransport,logistics,orsupplychainmanagement,ideallyin
temperature-controlledorfoodlogistics.
Strongleadershipandteammanagementskills.
Goodknowledgeofcustomsprocessesandinternationaltransportprocedures(EUUK).
Excellentcommunicationandproblem-solvingskills.
FluentinEnglish;Italianlanguageskillsareanadvantage.
Abilitytoworkinafast-pacedandmulticulturalenvironment.
