You'll play a key role in supporting engineering activities across operations, quality, and customer service. From product testing and rig validation to documentation and field support, your work will help ensure the reliability and performance of rail systems across the UK and Ireland.
Responsibilities
* Support investigations and testing of returned products
* Assist with rig validation and operator training
* Interpret technical documentation to support operations
* Create and modify overhaul instructions, test specifications, and technical reports
* Prepare technical offers based on condition assessments
* Support new product introduction and contract/non-contract activities
* Provide occasional field support (e.g. disc measurement, brake testing, commissioning)
* Interface with internal and external stakeholders on engineering progress
* Maintain and update internal systems (Movex, DDM, Teamcenter)
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Qualifications
* HNC or BTEC in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
* Strong mechanical and pneumatic experience
* Basic electrical fault-finding skills
* Good communication and problem-solving abilities
* Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams
* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
* Experience with CAD systems (e.g. Catia, SolidWorks)
* Understanding of hydraulic and advanced electrical principles
