Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need UK Security Clearance or be eligible for it. This position is based at our Reading site, working 5 days a week.
Your future duties and responsibilities
We seek an experienced Release & Deployment Manager to oversee planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of releases and deployments within our projects. The candidate should have a strong background in release and deployment management or similar fields.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain release and deployment schedules aligned with project goals.
* Establish and optimize release and deployment processes, including rollback strategies.
* Collaborate with development, operations, and product teams for seamless delivery.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, and resolve issues efficiently.
* Oversee deployment activities, validate releases, and monitor post-release performance for stability.
Required Qualifications
* Experience in the Defence sector.
* Understanding of release management principles and SDLC.
* Excellent project management, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to analyze risks, troubleshoot, and liaise with stakeholders.
* Strong communication skills for collaboration between technical and business teams.
Desired Competencies
* Knowledge of ITIL processes.
* Previous experience as a Release/Deployment Manager or in software development roles.
* Team player who thrives in collaboration.
