Our Day/PM Shift typically runs from 14:00 to 23:00, Monday to Sunday, working any 5 days in 7.

Job Purpose:
Our Day Shift Warehouse Supervisor plays a key role working with our Operations Manager to ensure the smooth running of the day operation in our Depot, leading teams of Sorters and Drivers in processing parcels delivered from client sites into smaller geographic areas for final delivery.
About the Role:
You’ll be a key member of the Depot Management team, supporting your Depot by providing strong people management to all front-line staff on your shift.
You will supervise a mixed team of contracted and agency staff across our day shifts. The Day Shift is crucial as it processes the growing returns part of our business, as well as parcels collected from our network of Parcel Shops.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and train reports and ensure SLA’s are met for the day shift
* Process MI reports based on work output of Drivers and Loaders
* Manage all areas of the day parcel shop operations, sortation, and transportation efficiently and cost-effectively
* People Management – recruitment, induction, ongoing engagement of Warehouse drivers, performance and attendance management, daily driver debriefs, and weekly reports
* Compliance – legalities, management of domestic driving hours (breaks, shift length, rest periods), and driver compliance in depots
* Resourcing – planning local routes to ensure effective parcel delivery and optimal roster utilization
Essential skills and experience required:
* Ability to work independently in a pressurized environment with tight deadlines
* Experience managing teams in a fast-paced logistics environment is advantageous
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and report generation
* Transport knowledge, skills, or experience, including regulations
* Good communication skills and ability to liaise at all levels
* Flexible approach to meet business requirements
