Meeting & Events Executive, Hotel du Vin
OTE up to £32'000 inclusive of tronc and incentives, depending on experience, full time hours flexible. Permanent. Edinburgh.
It's all in the detail. From a meeting for 6 guests to a 100 cover wedding it’s all in the detail and you make it happen. We create memories that our guests never forget. At Hotel du Vin we always go above and beyond the expectations and as Events Co-ordinator you will be liaising with guests by email or phone often before the guest steps foot in the hotel. You will also be involved in showcasing the hotel and actively selling the Meeting and Event space to prospective clients when they visit the property.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with guests by email or phone, often before arrival, to manage enquiries and bookings.
* Showcase the hotel and actively sell the Meeting and Event space to prospective clients during site visits.
* Deal with large corporate bookings, individual celebrations (weddings, anniversaries), seasonal and local community events.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure events run smoothly from planning through execution.
* Work primarily in an office environment with occasional weekend work depending on the events being managed.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in a similar role is beneficial but a smile and personality is essential.
* Confident in selling over the phone and computer literate.
* Ability to manage a variety of events and bookings; no two days are the same.
