History Teacher
A large secondary school based in Hayes, West London are looking for a History Teacher.
The school is seeking someone to start on a long-term contract until at least July 2026.
This position is full time; however, the school is open to part-time applicants. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Salary will match Outer London MPS/UPS.
On-site parking is available.
History Teacher - Hayes, West London
* Deliver engaging and thought-provoking history lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable), encouraging students to develop analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Inspire students to explore historical events, themes and interpretations, helping them understand the relevance of history in today's world.
* Support students in developing strong written and verbal communication skills through structured debate, discussion and extended writing.
* Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all learners are challenged and supported to achieve their best.
* Contribute to the wider humanities department, supporting curriculum development and enrichment opportunities such as trips and themed events.

Qualifications and Person Specification:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A relevant degree in History or related subject
* Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Approachable, organised and committed to high standards
