The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective assessments integrating technical, operational, programmatic, policy, and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and stakeholders. The team supports submarine platform procurement, including the Columbia-class SSBN program, Virginia-class SSN program, and the new SSN-X program, focusing on future submarine design and industrial base strengthening. These are high-profile programs vital to the US Navy's future capabilities amidst strategic competition.
Responsibilities
1. Develop expertise in assigned areas through training, research, and interviews with subject matter experts.
2. Maintain progress updates and communicate status regularly.
3. Communicate clearly across various formats including reports, briefings, and data analytics.
4. Organize and support meetings, both virtual and in-person, for coordination.
5. Exercise project leadership: design, plan, organize deliverables, and ensure strategic objectives are met. Lead and mentor teams across boundaries.
6. Build new relationships as needed.
This position is based at HMNB Portsmouth, UK.
Qualifications
* Ability to work onsite at HMNB Portsmouth, UK, as required.
* Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years’ experience with submarine operations and training.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with senior leaders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Proven ability to communicate complex topics in writing (writing sample required).
* Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
* Must satisfy ITAR and EAR regulations, including citizenship and security clearance requirements.
* US Citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance are required.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience with Type Commander or Navy staff preferred.
* Experience working with international partners.
