We’re on the lookout for confident, adaptable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Shrewsbury. Whether you’re gaining experience before teacher training or simply love working with young people, this flexible role could be spot on.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll keep lessons running smoothly when teachers are away. You’ll deliver pre-set work, guide pupils through their tasks, and keep behaviour calm and focused—all with the support of the school team.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Keeping behaviour consistent with school policies
* Supporting pupils (including those with additional needs) to stay engaged
* Building positive relationships with students and staff
* Delivering lessons using plans provided
What we’re looking for:
* Right to work in the UK (passport or BRP + share code)
* Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad
* Experience working with young people (school, youth work, sports coaching etc.)
* Confident communication and behaviour management skills
* A calm, professional approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
