An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative individual to work as a Clinical Nurse Educator within Critical Care in NHS Tayside. The Clinical Educator will play an integral role in the management and delivery of education and staff development. We are seeking a Clinical Educator who can make a meaningful contribution to supporting excellence in clinical nursing practice. The post requires an experienced, person-centred, professional individual with a passion for teaching and extensive critical care experience.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Critical Care nurses who already possess postgraduate qualifications in teaching, critical care or significant equivalent experience. Ideally you should be educated to master’s degree level or demonstrate the ability to work at master’s level appropriate to this clinical area. You should have evidence of significant post-registration professional practice experience with substantial experience in Critical Care to undertake the key areas for this post. A post-basic qualification within the specialty would be desirable. Applicants should demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development and have a degree level qualification, desirable to progress towards a Master’s qualification. You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RN A or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register.
Responsibilities
* Support the management and delivery of education and staff development within Critical Care.
* Contribute to excellence in clinical nursing practice through teaching and mentorship.
* Engage in ongoing professional development and postgraduate activity in teaching and critical care.
Hours and work
Hours of work are: 37 hours.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered on UK NMC Register Sub-part 1 (RN1/RN A) or Sub-part 2 (RN2).
* Postgraduate qualifications in teaching, critical care, or equivalent experience; master’s degree level preferred or demonstrated ability to work at master’s level related to clinical area.
* Significant post-registration professional practice experience in critical care; post-basic qualification desirable.
* Evidence of continuous professional development; degree level qualification desirable to progress towards a Master’s qualification.
