Job Title: Contract Manager / Senior Contract Manager – Residential Groundworks & Infrastructure Civils
Location: Northern Home Counties (Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire)
Salary: Up to £120,000 + Package

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager / Senior Contract Manager to lead and oversee residential groundworks and infrastructure civils projects across the Northern Home Counties. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in delivering construction contracts safely, on time, and within budget, while managing teams and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full ownership of contract delivery for groundworks and infrastructure civils projects.
* Manage project teams, including subcontractors and internal staff, ensuring high performance and accountability.
* Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion.
* Control project budgets, monitor costs, and implement corrective actions to maintain financial performance.
* Ensure all works are executed in line with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
* Provide regular project reports, updates, and risk assessments to senior management.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, sharing best practice across projects.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in Groundworks / Civils construction, particularly within residential developments.
* Strong understanding of the fast-paced construction environment and ability to work under pressure.
* Track record of successfully managing multiple contracts and delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
* Strong knowledge of contract management, procurement, and compliance processes.
* Ability to travel within the operational patch (Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire).
