Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Responsibilities
* Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
* Prepare and label medication containers in accordance with legal and safety standards
* Maintain organised stock levels, including ordering and stock rotation
* Support patients with over-the-counter products and answer basic queries about medications
* Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, safe, and compliant with health regulations
* Support medication administration processes under supervision where applicable
* Provide excellent patient care by offering friendly assistance and information as needed
* Manage administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining patient records
Requirements
* Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare role is desirable
* Knowledge of medication administration procedures is advantageous
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
* Ability to work accurately under pressure in a busy environment
* A genuine interest in patient care and healthcare services
* Flexibility to work shifts as required, including some weekends or evenings if necessary
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy assistance or related fields are preferred but not essential
