Robert Half Technology are assisting a technology innovation agency to recruit a Junior IT Support Engineer on a 3 month contract basis - London based
Role
* The Junior IT Support Engineer will provide white-glove IT support to internal users, ensuring a high-quality and professional experience.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues primarily in a Windows-based environment.
* Support desktop and laptop configurations, installations, and troubleshooting.
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
* Assist with IT on boarding and off boarding, including setting up new user devices and accounts.
* Maintain and troubleshoot conferencing and collaboration tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and VPN solutions.
* Work closely with senior IT staff and escalate complex issues as needed.
* Document IT issues and resolutions in the ticketing system to improve troubleshooting processes.
* Assist in IT projects such as system upgrades, software deployments, and security improvements.
Profile
* The Junior IT Support Engineer will ideally have c1-2 years of experience in an IT support role,
* Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
* Experience with hardware troubleshooting, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
* Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional end-user support.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
* Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
