They are actively seeking a capable, driven Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside a growing team of professionals in the scenic, coastal city of Brighton.

Responsibilities for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include:
6. Contributing to an array of projects across the public and private sectors, including residential and commercial developments, sports stadiums and other venues, schools, infrastructure and rail, and more
7. Produce technical work in the mitigation of flood risk, including Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Estimation
8. Work with Drainage Strategies, and complete Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) design
9. Utilise a range of software packages to produce technical work and designs, including MicroDrainage and AutoCAD
Required skills and experience for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include:
10. A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or Hydrology
11. Prior experience of working in a UK-based consultancy setting, specifically in a design role
12. Demonstrable experience of completing Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Design
13. Competencies in Hydraulic Modelling
14. Experience in designing a range of infrastructure projects
15. Highly proficient in the use of MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and other relevant software
16. Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include:
17. Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
18. Based in the South-East of England, with knowledge of the local area
19. Excellent time management skills
