As a Bank Consultant Dermatologist, you’ll be working as part of the HCRG Care Group Team in our Dermatology and Sexual Health service. In addition to attractive hourly rates of pay, you will benefit from:

About The Service
We are a Community Dermatology Service providing dermatology care for an area of North and Northeast Lincolnshire. We offer a wide range of services from general to patch testing, biologics, phototherapy and a weekly Local Skin MDT. The post holder will undertake minor and enhanced surgical consultations, provide comprehensive assessments, record consultations on the electronic clinical system, and follow evidence‑based care pathways.
Main Responsibilities
* Undertake minor and enhanced surgical consultations, entering full details into the electronic clinical system.
* Follow care pathways for common skin problems as recommended by national guidance.
* Provide treatment for presenting complaints in accordance with the dermatology formulary and prescribing restrictions.
* Offer treatments and surgical procedures within the scope of the head contract, ensuring no excluded procedures are performed.
* Ensure patients and carers are fully informed, answer questions, and provide written information if required.
* Maintain up‑to‑date records, dictate letters to the patient’s GP at time of consultation, and review letters as necessary.
* Undertake appropriate surgical procedures only after training and direct observation has led to competency sign‑off.
* Order investigations and file pathology forms correctly.
* Act on all results and update the GP and patients appropriately.
* Work with all team members to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred service.
* Participate in audit and evaluation.
* Attend and participate in clinical governance meetings.
* Keep up‑to‑date with new recommendations and guidance, developing skills as required.
* Provide support, guidance and advice to junior members of the team and nursing staff.
Ideal Candidate
* Full GMC registration and specialist registration.
* Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Dermatology or within 6 months of CCT date.
* Certificate of Eligibility Specialist Registration (CESR).
* Wide knowledge and experience in dermatology.
* UK permit or right to work in the UK.
* Commitment to professional development.
* Knowledge of the NHS and evidence‑based practice.
* Understanding of clinical governance, quality issues and health and social policy.
* Ability to produce clear, concise medical notes in both computerised and manual form.
* Experience of Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* A solutions‑focused approach and the ability to listen and empathise.
* Capacity to cope with stressful situations.
Desirable Qualities
* Previous experience in a management or supervisory position.
* Leadership skills and ability to oversee clinical practice effectively.
* Interest in developing additional clinical skills; experience in advanced flaps and grafts is highly regarded.
* Familiarity with clinical systems to support efficient record keeping.
