The post is for clinical assessment and intervention for children with neuro‑developmental and motor skills difficulties. You will work with children aged 0‑19 years in a variety of settings, including the Child Development Centre with community visits to schools and nurseries. Travel across UHD sites will be required to deliver services.
It would be an advantage to have experience in sensory processing dysfunction and neuro‑developmental therapy techniques and in working with children.
We work closely with the multi‑disciplinary paediatric team and colleagues working in social care, health and education services. We are committed to delivering high‑quality services for the children and families we work with.

Key Responsibilities
* Be part of a team of therapists providing Occupational Therapy (OT) assessment, treatment and advice services to children 0‑19 years and their parents/carers in Bournemouth, Poole and East Dorset.
* Be responsible for the clinical supervision and development of other members of the Children’s Therapy Team and act as a clinical educator for undergraduate students.
* Demonstrate an appropriate level of evidence‑based expertise in the assessment and treatment of a paediatric caseload, for children of all ages with neuro‑developmental and other conditions affecting function.
* Provide advice and liaise with other professionals (e.g. consultants, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists) and disciplines (e.g. community nursing team, Learning Disability Team, Occupational Therapists working in Social Care and Health, Education Staff, etc.) and network with Occupational Therapists in other departments and NHS Trusts.
* Participate in continued professional development to support the operational management and development of the Paediatric Therapy Service.
* Provide training to colleagues, the multi‑disciplinary team and staff working in educational settings.
