- Water Sector 12 Month Contract | Hybrid | South East Preferred We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy delivering innovative infrastructure projects within the UK water sector .
You will join a multi-disciplinary design team working on complex water and wastewater projects, supporting the delivery of major UK infrastructure programmes.
Key Responsibilities Lead or coordinate a team of Mechanical Engineers delivering design work on complex multi-disciplinary projects Produce and review technical deliverables including design reports, calculations, drawings and scopes of work Deliver mechanical design solutions across pumping systems and water/wastewater treatment facilities Collaborate with project management teams to meet project milestones, budgets and programmes Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers Support bid proposals and technical submissions Ensure compliance with UK design standards, legislation and quality assurance processes Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) Chartered or Incorporated Engineer preferred Proven experience delivering mechanical design within the xjlbheb water sector Strong knowledge of pumps, blowers, screens and chemical dosing systems Understanding of UK design standards, CDM and DSEAR Experience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Contract Details Minimum 12-month contract Hybrid working available Candidates ideally based in the South East
