Head of School, Population Health – UNSW Faculty of Medicine & Health. This is a full-time appointment based in Australia at the Health Translation Hub, UNSW Kensington, Sydney.

* Employment Type: Full-time (35 hours per week); Professor (Level E)
* Duration: Head of School appointment, 5 years initially, with continuing substantive Professor of Population Health
* Remuneration: Attractive salary package (Total Remuneration From $322,691 to $348,855), plus relocation and visa sponsorship offered if required
* Location: Health Translation Hub, UNSW Kensington, Sydney

UNSW Medicine & Health is an international leader in learning, teaching and research, co-located with several of Australia’s hospitals and health research institutes. This role sits within UNSW School of Population Health, within the Faculty of Medicine & Health, and reports to the Faculty Dean.
Responsibilities
* Overall strategic and operational leadership of the School of Population Health; provide creative leadership in the development and implementation of innovative teaching and learning offerings and research programs within the School and across the Faculty and its partners
* Align and integrate the School’s teaching and research with the Faculty and UNSW strategic objectives; ensure teaching and research quality and impact
* Manage teaching and research quality and impact within the School and the broader Faculty
* Lead and manage staff and School operations; work with the Faculty Dean and direct reports (academic staff and School Manager)
Qualifications
* A PhD in a relevant discipline with an outstanding research record evidenced by research funding, publications, esteem, and translation of research into impact
* A track record of leadership in a managerial role in a university, health system or professional setting
* A distinguished record of teaching and learning contributions at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels
* Desirable: track record of innovation in education and development of new programs
* Experience engaging with national/international professional organisations and government
* Demonstrated capacity to lead research, deliver education, and contribute to health/public health system management
