A 3-Month contract for a Domestic Abuse Officer to join a housing association in St Helens, initially 100% on-site, but once training is complete and work is up to standard, there will be hybrid flexibility (Monday and Friday in office).
Full time Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week
Enhanced DBS with Adult Barred List is essential for this role. With an immediate start date proffered, this will need to already be in place and on the update service.
Experience dealing with DA from either a housing, refuge or safeguarding background is required. MARAC experience is desirable.

Your new roleAs a Domestic Abuse Officer, you will provide direct support to individuals experiencing domestic abuse, helping them overcome barriers, stay safe and sustain their tenancies. You'll complete risk assessments, offer practical advice, coordinate safety planning and work closely with specialist partners.
A key part of the role includes representing the organisation at MARAC, providing expert housing input and ensuring victims have access to safe and appropriate housing options.
You'll manage a varied caseload, deliver targeted interventions, and ensure all actions are accurately recorded in line with safeguarding and organisational procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong understanding of domestic abuse, safeguarding and risk management
Experience supporting vulnerable individuals in housing, support or community‑based settings
Ability to complete risk assessments and develop safety plans
Confident multi-agency working, including MARAC participation
Knowledge of housing options and tenancy sustainment approachesWhat you'll get in return
