We have an opportunity for a 7.5 tonne driver to join our Compaction team based at our site in Ilkeston, Crompton Road, DE7 4BG.
You will be responsible for emptying food and glass wheelie bins at our customers' premises across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and tipping at the designated disposal location.
The role involves 50-60 hours of work per week. A can-do attitude and flexibility are essential. Some hours may be required on weekends during summer festivals and events. Overtime is paid for hours above 40 per week, with weekly pay.
Our fleet of vehicles is less than 5 years old, with a new fleet recently added. You will join a team of over 100 driving professionals committed to environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
You will play a vital role in transporting materials from our customers to processing sites.
Typical daily tasks include:
– Communicating with your planner and following schedules
– Liaising with customers and maintaining good relationships
– Conducting vehicle checks before starting
– Reporting vehicle defects
– Following Safe Operating Procedures
– Maintaining your vehicle
– Completing checks and paperwork
Skills and Qualifications:
– Drivers Licence C1, C, or C+E
– Current DCPC Card
– Good geographical knowledge
