Our client is seeking a <b>dedicated Shift Engineer</b> to become an integral part of their dynamic and forward-thinking engineering team.</p><p>If you’re passionate about engineering, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are committed to continuous learning and growth, this opportunity is tailored for you.</p><p><b>Role Overview</b> As a <b>Shift Engineer</b>, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. Your core objective will be to maintain <b>100% system uptime</b> through proactive maintenance, effective change control, and swift incident response.</p><p>You will also manage sub-contractors, oversee preventative maintenance schedules, and help deliver a resilient, compliant, and high-performing engineering service.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.</li><li>Monitor, log, and troubleshoot all plant and equipment, resolving incidents promptly.</li><li>Manage critical building systems, including:
<ul><li>Low and medium voltage electrical systems</li><li>Mechanical plant and HVAC systems</li><li>UPS and generator systems</li><li>Fire detection and suppression systems</li><li>Domestic and chilled water systems</li></ul></li><li>Perform authorised low and high voltage switching operations.</li><li>Utilise systems such as:
<ul><li>BMS (Building Management System)</li><li>PMS (Power Monitoring System)</li><li>CMS (Control & Monitoring System)</li></ul></li><li>Oversee and support the delivery of PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance).</li><li>Coordinate sub-contracted engineers, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance.</li><li>Follow operational and change management procedures, using service desk/ticketing systems.</li></ul><p><b>Desirable Experience & Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Completed engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.</li><li>HND or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).</li><li>Experience in high-pressure, mission-critical environments (e.g., data centres).</li><li>Industry-recognised certifications (e.g., NCC, REC, or equivalent).</li><li>Strong working knowledge of:
<ul><li>Low and medium voltage systems</li><li>HVAC and mechanical plant</li><li>Electrical safety regulations and best practices</li></ul></li></ul><p><b>Key Attributes</b></p><ul><li>Strong problem-solving ability, with proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).</li><li>Experience working within structured change management environments.</li><li>Attention to detail and adherence to safety and compliance protocols.</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Self-motivated, proactive, and resilient under pressure.</li><li>Familiarity with BMS systems and CAFM/PPM platforms.</li></ul><p>Mohammed Siddique</p><p><b>To Apply for this Job Click Here</b></p></div>
