About Dilham Ward (Thoracic and Oesophagogastric Unit)
Are you a dynamic and motivated student Adult Nurse? Looking to learn lots of new skills working in a highly specialist supportive unit? If this sounds like you then we would love to hear from you. We are seeking to recruit a Registered Band 5 Nurse to complement our team. As Thoracic and Oesophagogastric surgical unit we work very closely as a multidisciplinary team and have a dedicated and skilled nursing team as well as therapy and medical staff. Dilham- TOGU is one of a few units across the country providing specialist support for Oesophagogastric and Thoracic patients.
Responsibilities
* Work with all members of the Ward/Department clinical team within the multidisciplinary framework.
* Maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse.
* As a registered nurse on the ward you will be responsible for a cohort of patients, providing bedside care.
* Work with the management team to provide excellent patient care in a supportive environment.
* Teaching and coaching will be available at all times.
* As a Newly Qualified Nurse you will become fully integrated into the team and will be encouraged to continually develop your skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Completion of adult nursing degree in Summer 2026 or equivalent.
* Ability to start work either pre-PIN or as an RN if NMC PIN is received after June 2026.
* Willingness to work in a Thoracic and Oesophagogastric unit and to work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to patient-centred care and to developing professional skills through the preceptorship programme.
