Morson is currently recruiting a Process Engineer on behalf of our aerospace manufacturing client for their Broughton site.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading name in aerospace and contribute to the manufacturing engineering function supporting the single aisle aircraft programme. The role will focus on industrialising minor and major modifications for aircraft, with an emphasis on work preparation and process improvement .
The successful candidate will support both mechanical and electrical systems, collaborating as part of a multifunctional team to ensure smooth industrialisation into production.
Key Responsibilities Translate design intent into technical instructions and Manufacturing Engineering data for aircraft manufacture, assembly, test, and certification.
Implement best practice methods, tools, and processes to meet business requirements.
Deliver detailed work preparation definitions (routings, BOMs, SOIs, STV calculations) for production.
Ensure all work and documentation meet procedural and regulatory standards .
Project manage process improvements, tool development, and implementation strategies.
Evaluate and enhance manufacturing capacity, recommending design standard changes where appropriates
Provide shopfloor support for both electrical and mechanical systems to operations, supply chain, and Final Assembly Lines.
Skills & Experience Required Strong understanding of lean principles .
Proficiency with business management tools, ideally SAP .
Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines.
Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Business Information Systems .
Proven experience in aircraft production, engineering methods, and procedures .
Understanding of cross-functional interactions across business and engineering teams.
Excellent communication and organisational skills .
Leadership ability and a proactive, self-motivated approach are desirable.
