Join Our Lifesaving Team Head of Major Gifts Full Job Description: Head of Major Gifts JD Location: Rugby, Warwickshire Hours: 37.5 hours per week Benefits: Benefits Summary This role leads the delivery of the Fundraising strategy for Major Gifts, encompassing Legacies, In Memory, Major Donors and Trusts, and holds accountability for the associated income and expenditure budgets. As the strategic lead for philanthropic income, the role drives sustainable long-term growth by building and maintaining a strong pipeline of major supporters and partners. It champions a culture of philanthropy across TAAS, equipping colleagues and volunteers to identify, cultivate and steward high-value prospects and opportunities. As Head of Department, the role is responsible for the performance, engagement, and development of the team, providing clear guidance, support, and motivation. It ensures appropriate staffing levels, fosters a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and role models TAAS leadership behaviours and core values. The role actively promotes a values-led approach to fundraising, ensuring decisions, behaviours and relationships reflect the compassion, integrity, professionalism, and commitment that underpin TAAS’s work. It also encourages continuous professional development, using coaching and mentoring to help colleagues realise their potential and holding peers and team members to account for the same high standards.
