The role
– Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper
Great opportunity to join a dynamic team as an Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper where you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation in a professional environment. You will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks to support clients.
Duties will include:
1. VAT preparation using various software systems
2. Personal Tax preparation
3. Accounts preparation
4. Communication of tax liabilities to clients via telephone, email or in person
5. Be responsible for meeting deadlines and filing returns
6. Communicating clearly with external bodies
Experience, competencies and knowledge required
7. Proven experience in an Accounts role, to include VAT and Personal Tax
8. Good computer skills including preferably Iris, Xero, Excel and Sage – not essential
9. Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
10. Excellent communication skills and a great phone manner
11. Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and manage time effectively
12. Strong organisational skills
