About the role – Cover Teacher
We are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Teacher to join a secondary academy and provide high-quality classroom cover in the absence of permanent teaching staff. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain positive behaviour, and ensure continuity of learning across a range of subjects and year groups. The successful candidate will have strong classroom management skills, flexibility, and the ability to quickly build rapport with students. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher or experienced educator to gain varied experience, support students’ progress, and contribute to the smooth running of the school on a short- or long-term basis.
