Commercial law firm in London is looking to recruit two non-contentious IP/Trademarks – one of 2 to 5 and the other of 6 or more years’ PQE. The team offers an exciting and fast-paced but supportive and collegiate working environment. The team is highly-regarded and their experienced lawyers offer expert advice on the protection, promotion, exploitation and monetisation of content and brands. The successful candidates will be experienced working with complex trademark filings within the UK. Working alongside an existing Partner and experienced team, you will be supporting the European trademark offering in the UK and Europe where need is increasing due to the demands of the clients. Responsibilities will include: • Providing expert advice on intellectual property rights, with a focus on brand and brand protection (including providing expert advice on trademark and design availability, registration, and protection strategies) • Conducting comprehensive searches to determine the availability of trademarks and design rights assess potential conflicts • Overseeing the preparation and filing of trade mark and design applications, both domestically and internationally • Managing and protecting clients’ intellectual property portfolios, including trademarks, copyrights, and designs • Drafting and reviewing legal documents related to trade mark registration, licensing, and enforcement • Representing clients in negotiations and proceedings before trade mark offices and courts where necessary • Advising clients on the legal aspects of marketing new products and services, including brand development and protection • Detailing- understanding of copyright law • Ensuring compliance with trademark laws and manage the renewal of trademarks • Providing guidance, mentorship and supervision to more junior team members and Paralegals • Undertaking marketing and business development activity to further the team and personal business and growth plan.
