We are recruiting for a Quality and Patient Safety/ Experience in Care Advisor to work in our small and friendly Quality and Patient Safety Team.
This is a 3-month fixed term/secondment, up to full time, post; with a view this post will become permanent from January 2026. The successful post holder will provide support to the Quality Patient Safety Team in the provision of managing incidents, complaints, risks, Governance processes and deputise for the service in the absence of the service manager. The role will also include working alongside clinical specialist teams within the division providing formal reports, deliver training and education, updating risks / governance IT systems administration.
The Quality and Patient Safety/ Experience in Care Advisor will have an enthusiastic and organised approach to patient safety/ complaints and service improvement and have knowledge of working within the new PSIRF world. You will actively support and promote a transparent and learning culture and ensure that learning is translated into practice improvements/examples of good practice. In addition, as part of the team, you will at times be responsible for the co-ordination of the complaint process in relation to the Freedom of Information of requests and ensure response within specified timescales.
The post holder will require having a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a patient safety / complaints or governance field. Dependent on your previous experience you will be provided with development and support in essential areas of management of safety incidents and the opportunity to improve your leadership skills as you embark on a more senior role.
