We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a store supervisor. Find your place as a leader at Starbucks and help us build the brand’s future. Your voice will be brewed into everything we do. You’ll lead shifts, working with your team of baristas to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers through high-quality service, beverages, and products, while fostering our third place environment.
We’re seeking candidates with previous coaching or supervisory experience in a customer-facing role. You’ll spend your time running shifts with our customers at the core, coaching your team, and creating a positive learning environment for your partners on shift. Experience in leading operational activities in retail or hospitality environments is beneficial, as you’ll be responsible, alongside the store management team, for achieving results through impact, goal-setting, and operational excellence. You’ll also be an ambassador for our partner networks, ensuring our partners feel they belong.
The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! Working in our fast-paced stores, a typical day could include:
* Collaborating with the Store Manager, leading shifts, supporting partners, and inspiring memorable moments and the Starbucks Experience for partners and customers.
* Setting priorities using available tools and resources to determine roles and delegate tasks, and driving store profitability.
* Inspiring and motivating the store team to make every moment right for our partners and customers, pre-empting and addressing potential issues to optimize the customer experience.
* Sharing best practices and identifying teachable moments with the team.
* Viewing challenges as opportunities for continuous improvement to drive operational excellence.
* Executing store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
* Ensuring all partners follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety, and security protocols, to ensure safety during each shift.
* Providing consistent quality beverages and food products, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards, and following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Given the nature of our stores, working hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
