Job Description
The EH&S Supervisor will play a critical, hands-on role in leading Environmental, Health & Safety activities at a manufacturing site in Durham. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the EH&S Supervisor will provide both strategic direction and day-to-day operational support across safety, health, and environmental compliance.
As EH&S Supervisor, you will champion an autonomous EHS culture, ensuring compliance with UK legislation while driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will maintain ISO 14001 systems, manage environmental permits, and deliver engaging EHS training to employees and contractors.
A key part of the EH&S Supervisor role involves strong site presence—coaching leaders, conducting audits, leading investigations, and embedding best practice across operations. You will act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, influencing behaviour and ensuring high-risk activities are effectively controlled.

Skills & Experience
* Degree-qualified in Environmental Management, Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or similar
* 5–10 years’ EHS experience within a manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge of UK environmental and safety regulations
* Experience managing ISO 14001 and regulatory reporting
* Confident delivering training and influencing at all levels
* Proven incident investigation and audit experience
* WAMITAB certification desirable
* Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills
