Part Time Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic
We’re seeking qualified nurses or paramedics to provide healthcare in police custody suites. The role requires flexibility to work in base custody suites and across a specified Police Custody area. Training will be provided. This is a part-time role with fixed shifts and a rolling rota available in advance. No previous forensic experience is required.
Responsibilities
* Deliver healthcare to detainees in custody suites in collaboration with the Police, ensuring round-the-clock coverage in line with the client schedule.
* Work in a team rota pattern and be flexible to travel across an assigned region.
* Participate in dynamic training and development opportunities to enhance clinical, forensic, and broader skills.
Qualifications
* RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration) with at least 2 years post-qualification experience; Band 5 minimum; Paramedic with 2 years post-qualification.
* Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within relevant settings (e.g., General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk-in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service).
* Driving Licence required.
* Right to Work in the UK; UK passport or ILR for 3 years with no gaps out of the country longer than 3 months.
* All candidates subject to Police Vetting.
Salary and Benefits
* Salary £20,500 per year
* £500.00 bonus after 12 months of service
* Average overtime approximately £3,500 per year
* NMC/HCPC Registration paid
* Fixed part-time shifts: day shifts 06:45–19:00; night shifts 18:45–07:00; rolling rota available 2 years in advance
