Your New JobAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a range of additional needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), speech and language difficulties, andplex learning needs. Your role may involve:
1. Providing 1:1 or small group support
2. Assisting with personal care (where required)
3. Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
4. Helping to deliver tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher or SENCO
5. Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
What You'll Need to Succeed
6. Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or youth settings)
7. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
8. Strongmunication and teamwork skills
9. A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
10. Teaching Assistant qualification
11. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
